The sole purpose of AngryVoters.org is to help promote the good works of progressive organizations. Other groups have created these petitions.

Our sole mission is to draw attention to worthy projects of others and send potential supporters to them. We concentrate our efforts on what we consider the most important single issue of our time. Some suggest we next support voting reform or single payer health care. Let us know what issue you think we should support and promote after we get a Special Prosecutor appointed?

We are a non structured project. We have no intention to formalize our organization with the IRS as a non-profit and we do not plan to solicit donations or build a membership base.

This idea came about as I wondered how I could help groups I admire accomplish their petition goals without getting involved in the day to day hassles of activism and organizing (I am a bit burnt out). The concept of just doing the commenting I usually do on news articles and blogs and simply adding just one link to one website (AngryVoters.org) that directed readers to all the petitions that supported prosecution of Bush and Cheney, seemed doable. This is the current incarnation of my original idea.

Why was the current issue, prosecution by a special prosecutor of Bush, Cheney and their appointee lawyers, chosen?

We believe that politicians will need the same level of courage to vote for radical voting reform and for single payer health care as they will for insuring the prosecution of Bush officials. The important difference is that defence of our Constitution and Rule Of Law always come first. Any Congress member or President that refuses to enforce our Federal Laws will never have the courage to pass single payer health care or needed changes in voting laws.

Requiring that they prove to voters that they do not support a double standard of justice is one way of determining whether there is any hope they will do the other things we want.

If politicians refuse to insist on enforcement of our Federal Laws on Torture, are they doing their job according to their oath of office. Was it unreasonable for we voters to expect them to enforce our laws when we voted for them?

We support all groups whose pro prosecution/impeachment petitions we list.

IF YOUR GROUP is not listed but currently has a petition advocating for prosecution or impeachment of Bush, Cheney or appointees, email me the url of the petition and we will list and promote it for you.

Food for thought.

"our union is only as perfect as we are willing to work for. It endures only to the extent that we are willing to fight for the ideals on which it is based, to do our part" from remarks by President Obama, on March 27, when Eric Holder was formally installed as attorney general at the US Justice Department.

President Obama: "no one is above the law".

JPMorgan Chairman & CEO Jamie Dimon: Iraq War, Greed Contributed To Economic Collapse Remember when 9-11 happened and the price of gas rose because of war coming. Then we went after Osama in Afghanistan gas prices rose again.
I could accept that, but when Bush used the Lie of WMD to invade Iraq Gas Prices Rose Astronomically To nearly $5.00 per Gallon in many places, wrecking our economy, bankrupting companies large and small and destroying our savings, I got mad. I don't need revenge, but I do need justice.

Prosecute them for the obvious violations of Federal Laws.
